Quickly mix up this all natural organic ant spray and get rid of the pests that have invaded your kitchen

Scientists estimate that there are 12,000 species of ants. Some of them are actually beneficial, although it may not feel like that when they’ve infested our kitchen.

Plenty of ants are destructive, and the common domesticated ants that we know so well are generally destructive. (For the record, I don’t think anyone ever domesticated ants on purpose). House ants can be carpenter ants, banded sugar ants, Pharoah ants, yellow crazy ants, European fire ants, and so very many more.

These common ants raid our cupboards, damage crops, ruin indoor structures, and bite. And because they have a sting in their mouths, the bites swell.

In the summer, ants collect food to get them through the harsher months, and they can feel impossible to deal with. The ones that infested our kitchen seemed almost impervious to diatomaceous earth, my usual remedy. Last year, I emptied out my kitchen cupboard and stored everything in boxes far from the ants while I worked out something that … well, worked.

Since I’m not about to use harsh chemicals in my home or call an exterminator (I’d have to move out – I wouldn’t be able to breathe!), I needed to come up with a completely natural solution.

Take note that I did not try this on a large scale, but it effectively repelled the ants that were crawling over my dishes.

To make this, you’re going to need organic apple cider vinegar, which you can make at home from apple scraps, baking soda, and ground black pepper. How’s that for natural? Even if some gets on your dishes or food containers, there’s nothing that can harm even a small child.

Put at least 2 tablespoons baking soda in a clean mixing glass. Add 1 tablespoon ground black pepper to the mixing glass. Mix it well.

mix baking soda, water and black pepper

Add 1 cup warm water to the baking soda and black pepper mixture and mix well.

Pour this mixture into an empty spray bottle and add 1 cup apple cider vinegar.

Close the spray bottle tightly.

add to bottle with apple cider vinegar

Mix the ant spray thoroughly by shaking the spray bottle.

Use a piece of masking tape to create a label and stick it to the spray bottle after, so that everyone in your house knows what’s inside the spray bottle.

add label to spray bottle

Now you’re all done and ready to use the spray to get rid of ants.

spray to repel ants

This can be sprayed directly on the ant’s trails and their home base also. You’ll get results in minutes.

There’s no secret that I hate having ants around my house, especially when they get into my dishes and my food. Make this spray and get your kitchen back from the invaders.
